Shopkins and Candy Crush Inspired Art Journaling Sketch

For Christmas, my sister-in-law gave me the Candy Crush coloring book. I play Candy Crush frequently so I thought this gift was really cute.

My daughter has been coloring in it and I have been using the images to use as reference for drawing. The cute little figures in the middle are Shopkins. My daughter has been obsessed with collecting these Shopkins and we decided to draw some of them one day. If you don't know what Shopkins are, they are these little figurines of household items and foods that have cute faces on them.

Here is the drawing I made in my sketchbook.

To make this picture, I used Staedtler Lumicolor permanent markers for the black lines.
To color in, I used Sakura Koi Brush Markers. They are a bit pricey, but I won an art giftcard so I splurged on myself!

I keep getting all these notifications of new people following my blog via Bloglovin'!  I'm not sure where everyone is coming from, but WELCOME if you are a new follower.  Leave a comment and say "hello".

Sweet and Sassy Art Journaling

I hope you all are having a wonderful winter time so far.  Brrrr... it's really cold here now!  The wind chills are about -20 degrees.

My New Year's goal is to create at least one artwork per month just for me!  So, that is a total of 12 artworks.  I go to a book club and they helped me come up with that goal.  It is a very attainable goal and most months I make at least one artwork anyways.  It has just been so hard to find time to do anything for ME.
