Scan of Fall Leaves Printable

Aren't the colors of the fall leaves breathtaking?  I scanned some of the leaves that I found on the trees here in Wisconsin.  Feel free to print these out, color designs on them with permanent or paint markers, make a collage or just draw from the pictures.  They would also look good on a bulletin board.

Purse Raid Bridal Shower Game

This is a departure from my usual art-related blog posts, but I thought this would be useful for someone who might be looking for a bridal shower game in the future.

I am planning games for a cousin's shower and I always like the purse raid games.  Remember the Let's Make a Deal TV game show?  At the end, the host would give away $100 to whoever could find a random item in their purse.  That was my favorite part of the show!

I was searching online for a printable version of this game and was coming up with lots of paid versions. I mean, really?  $7 for a print-out of this game?  No way!

I put together my own sheet for this game by compiling items from many of the lists I found.

The game is played by dividing the shower guests into groups of 3-4.  The teams have 5 minutes to search through their purses for the listed items.  Items can only count one time, even if all of the team has the same item.  The team with the most points, wins!  Feel free to print out and use.

Print and color this card to give

Free Printable Christmas Card!
Marit, founder of Featuring magazine, suggested that we all make print and color holiday cards to post on the website.  For the past few years, I have made little cards from my artwork to use as thank you notes at school.  If a kid gives me a holiday gift or card I will give them one of my little artwork cards.  So, this was perfect, because now my holiday card is done for school.  Some kids at school saw me drawing this and they all said they wanted one, so I'm going to print off a bunch.

If you would like to print off this card for yourself or your kid to color, go ahead!

Do you make your own holiday cards?  If so, how do you do it?
