Art Journal Fun

I managed to spend a bit of time this past weekend working in my art journal. The first page was started with a watercolor background and then I tried to use up lots of scraps that were in my scrapbooking stash.  I really like this ink doodle with organic shapes.  Do you ever do that?  Limit yourself to just using the scraps you have in a pile.  See what happens when you try to just use up what you already have without cutting in to new pieces of paper.

Using up your 'scraps' is soooo rewarding! I love your results - gorgeous pages! (I keep even the smallest paper scraps to make ATCs from it... which makes me think I really should grab that box and make me some - it's been ages...) Have a great weekend Marcia!

These are great! I do try to limit myself often. I realize that I absolutely have too many supplies and materials and that fact alone often overwhelms me. Sticking to just what I have in arm's reach really lets my creativity blossom. This applies to my art journaling as well as my jewelry creation. I like to see others employ the same method, it let me know I'm not doing something wrong by not using ALL THE THINGS! ;)
