WOYWW

my newish watercolor tray that I love.  You need to get a watercolor palette with a lid, then you can save the paints from day to day, no waste.
What's on your workdesk Wednesday is a round-up of just that.  Every Wednesday, artist post pictures of what sits on their desk.
Messy area.  Artwork lying all over every surface to dry.

My daughter's work desk.  She is 22 months old.  I love her artwork, maybe I'm biased!  :)  This one she used some of my blue craft paint and then when it dried, she used markers on top of it.   If anyone else has pics of their children's art desks, I'd love to see them too.  Since I'm an elementary art teacher, I'm interested in that sort of thing.

I love looking at messy art spaces! So much better than the ones where everything is so neat and tidy that no work can possibly be done. ;-)
Your daughter is bound to be a great artist for sure!

Your artwork in the middle pic is very bold and bright - I like it! I love the way that children just 'go for it' when they paint - there's no deep thought, it's sheer painty enjoyment :) xx

I like WOYWW. It's a lot of fun showing what you have on your work area. I like your things and I do have a palette with a lid. It works great. Happy WOYWW

Love the artwork, yours & your daughters. I had to come visit you as my middle name is Marcia, and you are only the second person I have ever 'met' who has that name. Happy WOYWW, Shaz

you should frame your daughter's artwork. I did for my son when he made an abstract when he was 2 yrs and now he is turning 6 and prefers to dance than to paint. I know I will always cherish it. loved your painting too!

Ooh Marcia you are a dream of a colour artist - love the stuff 'just lying around' in your work area!

I would say it's great to get the kids involved in artwork but having read your profession I think you might already know that, lol!

nice looking watercolor tray. I love that you can close it up and save your paints. I have been using Twinkling waters and found that they will mold if closed up too wet. THanks for sharing. Vickie

Will the palette work with acrylics too, I wonder? It's great that you're so busy and have all that art drying around you! Plus your daughter's too! Patsy from

I didn't know you could get the trays with a lid... I always use cling film or tin foil to save the paint.
Great artwork from your little one. I always fascinates me too.

I am a colorful person, yep! Shazsilverwolf, I had a best friend named Marcia in middle school. We both had the names Marcia Beth. The paint palette thing won't work with acrylic, it will dry up. Tin foil is what I use in a pinch at school. I am saving my daughter's sketchbooks and paintings. I love it all.
