Two more pages

I've been nudged from Daisy Yellow's Creativity Queue Challenge to go through my art journal and attempt to finish up some pages... use up some scraps...  here are two I just finished.

I was just about finished with a larger mixed media painting, when I changed the direction it was going and it turned into a big hot mess.  Tonight I'm planning on gessoing over most of it and redoing it.

Ok, so you're probably thinking, these art journal pages look pretty messy, so what's the problem?  Well, I have higher expectations for myself when it is on canvas and might be hanging on my wall someday.

The journal pages are allowed to be messy!!

Love both of your journal pages, and hope you get your canvas the way you want it soon.

I'm gessoing over 'mistake' pages a lot myself lately... we're on the same vibe I guess... I love your messy art journal pages! Yep, same goes for me: some journals are 'allowed' to be messy, and other work has to be on a 'higher' level. I wish you a great weekend!
