Building a rainbow: Blue

I missed the rest of the days, but I participated in Daisy Yellow's building a rainbow.  Here is a mixture of spray ink, watercolor and ink.  I was experimenting with this super tiny long hair brush, I think it's called a rigur or rigor brush.

Very nice. I like the colors under the blue and the writing is great.

Cool! I love the lettering. It looks so alive.

I think it's actually spelled rigger - my high school art teacher said it was because they were used to paint the rigging on ships because they could hold enough paint to manage the long strokes needed.

And apparently I'm a dork. This isn't exactly news :)

Thank you! I heard about the rigger brush from a watercolor painting class I took and it's great for small details on landscape painting. But I thought it would also be fun to experiment with lettering.
