I've been working on this abstract painting on and off... I've enjoyed using some scraping and overpainting techniques. It's not quite finished yet, I may add some bold black or dark blues.
I've lately been using paper plates for a palette. It's totally not the way I was taught in college to arrange a palette, but since I usually paint with my toddler running around, I don't have time to do a big set up. I usually paint with one or two colors at a time and then need a quick way to clean up when she decides she wants to move on to another room.

Oh I love all the texture here! So free and like a spirit rising. Lovely. xox Corrine
I don't know much about abstract but it will be fun to watch this come together, I think. I use paper plates for palettes a lot, too. It's so much easier to just chuck them when you want to start a new project.
I've been using a plastic palette lately that the paint just peels right off of after enough layers have built up. Before that I was using any thing that would hold paint - from plastic lids to take out containers. You're teaching your daughter from an early age to be resourceful!
The palette is not important, what matters is the result and this is attractive. Happy holidays
I like it already. I do agree with La Abela. Nicely done Marcia. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
It's looking great so far! Lovely pastels shades.

Love the colors on your palette! It's looking good already even if it's not yet finished!

This is so bright and full of life. Paper plates work so why not use them.
