WOYWW: Homemade Stickers

Wednesday is Day Two of Daisy Yellow's Creativity Queue Challenge. 
Here, I altered some of my artwork in photo editors, added some text and printed them out on sticker paper.  I got the nudge to recycle some of my artwork through Journaling Deep, a weekly newsletter from Samantha Kira.  Then, I cut up the stickers and used them as pieces in my art journal.

What's On Your Workdesk?

In progress mixed media painting

This is what's on my workdesk this week!  I am in the middle of a mixed media collage including some of my watercolor illustrations and ephemera from my big ol' paper stash.  The white areas are going to have added color and patterns.  I just got a supply of pan pastels in the mail today, which I already love so much!  Yes, they are expensive, but I have found that when I buy a bunch of supplies, I end up using them in one way or another throughout the years.  They are such good quality with a creamy smoothness that I love.  Plus you can blend them on top of areas you've already painted with acrylics (when dry, of course.)

 I bought a couple magazines from the Japanese marketplace that I went to in Chicago this week.  They were on clearance for only a couple dollars.  They have some really cool pictures for collage making... like THESE:

 

I also bought some white out pens.  Good for writing in white on colored pages.  

Don't buy the Bic kind, they are blobby.

Colorful tape I ordered off Ebay.  These were a pretty decent deal, as far as tape goes.  

They are all so colorful and fun!   Now I'm done buying any more art supplies for a long time.

my newish watercolor tray that I love.  You need to get a watercolor palette with a lid, then you can save the paints from day to day, no waste.

Messy area.  Artwork lying all over every surface to dry.

My daughter's work desk.  She is 22 months old.  I love her artwork, maybe I'm biased!  :)  This one she used some of my blue craft paint and then when it dried, she used markers on top of it.   If anyone else has pics of their children's art desks, I'd love to see them too.  Since I'm an elementary art teacher, I'm interested in that sort of thing.

This is what's on my daughter's workdesk.  She is 21 months old.  I'm an elementary art teacher, so of course, we do lots of art together.  Her desk is right next to mine, so we spend some time each day making art.  It's hard to get anything done though, because if I am using something, she wants to use the EXACT marker or pen I'm using.  Then, if I grab a different one, she will want that one.  If I'm painting, she likes to sit on my lap and help me.  I think these two picture she drew are very interesting, because of the colors she used.  It was like she wanted to explore FULLY what the purple marker could do and then on the other one she wanted to explore what the red colors could do. On the purple one, she was drawing on top of a picture her cousin started.  You can see the band of green at the bottom for the grass and the band of blue on top for the sky that she had started to draw.
